Carbon-X IMV Cleaner

Specially formulated to safely remove hard burned-on carbon from intake/exhaust valves, combustion chamber, intake manifold and EGR valves of petrol and diesel engines.
Tec4 Carbon-X IMV Cleaner can also be used separately to break down stubborn burned-on carbon from the outside of seized injectors and from components removed from the vehicle.

Tec4 Carbon-X is a two component cleaner consisting of a cleaner and an emulsifier. When used together they safely remove contamination from the entire cylinder head area, including the intake and exhaust valve seats (when open), without damaging the seals and gaskets.

Cleaning the combustion chamber / intake and exhaust valves.

Remove the spark plug or injector and place the probe on the filter canister in the combustion chamber. Spray a generous amount of Carbon X IMV Cleaner Foam into the combustion chamber. The foam will expand and fill the chamber. To clean the intake and exhaust valve seats, crank the engine over to ensure the valves to be cleaned are open. Allow the foam to react for 15 to 20 minutes. Once the foam has reacted, spray a liberal amount of Tec4 Carbon X Neutralizer into the chamber through the same access port and allow to react until the cleaner has dissolved. Once the product has dissolved, remove the emulsified fluid with a suitable extraction device. After all the fluid has been drained and before refitting the spark plug/injector, crank the engine 2-3 times with the starter to ensure all fluid has been removed from the engine. Then return the vehicle to its original condition.

Cleaning EGR valves or external/dismantled components

Inject Tec4 Carbon X IMV Cleaner into the component through a suitable opening. Allow the product to work for 10-15 minutes. Then dissolve the foam with Tec4 Carbon X Neutralizer and remove the emulsified fluid with a suitable extraction device  when dissolved.
